Pretty much business as usual, but it was a fun day. J travels a bunch, so any weekday he's home is a holiday.
As for the kids, Drew helped with the patio (and blasted me with the water hose) and Jazzy helped me make a cake. They also found a new use for that toy bin we emptied:
I was going to read them a story about The Star Spangled Banner, but I was just too tired. No fireworks either. There's always next year.
