I'm reading The Underground History of American Education by former New York State Teacher of the Year, John Taylor Gatto.
I kept shouting "Yes!" as I read random pages on the way home from the library, so I think it will be a good read. I'm sure J is glad he's on his way out of town...

Ah. So you are on your way to becoming a PERMANENT homeschooler, then. :)
Wow, I need to get that book- I've heard about it in several places, and I'm definitely feeling pulled towards reading it.
Next step: getting my hands on a copy. That may be a little harder, unfortunately, given my geographical location. :(
But eventually, I'll get it and read it. If you could, I'd love to hear you share what you learn and read.
