Do you love your husband and children...

Today the Preacher spoke from 1 Corinthians 13 and ouch, it hurt!

When asked, of course you will say you love your husband and your children, but try asking yourself the following:

Am I patient?
Am I kind?
Do I envy? (his job, his freedom)
Do I boast? ("Look at all I do around here!")
Am I proud? ("They don't appreciate how hard I work!")
Am I rude? (nagging, complaining)
Am I self-seeking? ("I want some Me time.")
Am I easily angered? (Ouch!)
Do I keep a record of wrongs? (Double ouch!)
Do I delight in evil? (gossip)
Do I protect? (not criticize)
Do I trust? (let him make decisions even when I don't agree)
Do I hope?
Do I persevere? (not threaten divorce)

This is what the Bible says love is. I'm going to work on committing this passage to memory.
