I don't read my Bible every day. When our schedule is taxed, Bible (the thing we need most) gets pushed aside. This should not be.
If I have had time to blog, shower, brush my teeth, put on lotion, get dressed, dress the children, straighten up the house, load the van, run a few errands, come home, play, cook, read BOOKS to the children, read a few blogs - if I have had time to EAT, then I have had time to read God's Word.
"Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
So I will read my Bible daily, even if I only read one verse. I will post scripture references to what I read in a post titled, My Daily Bread. I ask you to join me by reading the Bible daily and posting references from your reading in the comments section. There are no guidelines as to what, or how much, you read. Just read it!
(And by "it", I mean God's Word, not a man-made devotional or inspirational text. Read those after you read your Bible.)
